About us - From Director's desk

Welcome!

My name is Jerzy Marcol and I have the privilege to be the director of Biblical Mission Association (BMA). Welcome to our website. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with our goals, with our Mission and our Vision, with the faith we proclaim, as well as with our operations, which lead to offer people the access to God’s Word, so that through it they can learn about the Savior Jesus Christ.

Why is it important for us to give Bibleless peoples the access to God’s Word?

On behalf of all the members of BMA, I would like to emphasize that as Polish believers in Jesus Christ, we have a desire to take part in the Great Commission. We believe that this ministry is led by God’s will, and the words spoken by Jesus to his disciples 2000 years keeps being valid also today:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Mathew 28:19-20 NIV)

Therefore the idea of missionary work doesn’t come from a human but it is the command given by Jesus Christ himself. If we are His disciples we should obey everything He ordered what means that we cannot ignore His missions command.

3000 languages to go

Although, it has been nearly 2000 years since Jesus walked on the Earth, the Gospel still hasn’t been delivered to all the nations. Nowadays, about 2400 languages have access to the Bible.

The Gospel still needs to be translated into c. 3000 languages (go to Statistics: State in December in 2007 or see Vision 2025). Therefore, still a lot of nations are without the access to Jesus’ teachings, their languages have no written form, and even the basic education lacks organizing. As believers in Jesus Christ from Poland we can partake in crossing the barriers, which separate peoples from the Good News about Jesus Christ.

Not everyone can go to work on mission field, however everyone can pray for currently working missionaries, for new callings and for the nations, which still need to be given the Gospel.

Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." (Mathew 9:37-38 NIV)

Moreover, everyone can support missionaries and the mission operation.

(See how to do this and go to: BMA payments)

Mission is our common issue, and the Lord will equally reward the one, who goes as well as the one who supports:

“Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward. And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” (Mathew 10: 41-42 NIV)

I encourage you to learn about Polish missionaries of BMA and I ask you to help in realization of the task that we believe was given to us by God. I also ask you to pray regularly for the missionaries, BSM Administration and for all the members of our association.
